Regal Films recently signed four of the promising stars of Talent5 at the Imperial Palace Suites in Quezon City. Lucky young stars Ritz Azul, Morisette Amon, Jazz Ocampo and Eula Caballero were part of Star Factor, the Kapatid network’s talent search and are currently being groomed by Talent5 headed by veteran director Audie Gemora.
Present at the signing on June 30 were Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde and TV5 Head for Entertainment Perci Intalan.
Leading the batch is Star Factor grand winner Eula Caballero who hails from Cebu. She was first given a chance to play a lead role in Luv Crazy. Eula is seen in the hit teen-oriented show Bagets where she plays Tara Montes. She is also set to be part of the cast of the upcoming drama series, The Sisters.
Morisette Amon is a young talented singer who won the heart of jurors of Star Factor with her amazing vocal chops. She ended up first runner-up in the talent search. She recently finished a concert entitled “Face Off” with Tippy Dos Santos and directed by Sam Concepcion. She is set to release her debut album soon. Morisette is also from Cebu.
The youngest among the four, Jazz Ocampo, credits her mestisza beauty to the Spanish-American roots of her parents. She is part of the newest Higante-serye Bangis where she plays Tweety.
Ritz captured the attention of television audiences with her acting in the hit television drama Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak. She bagged third place in Star Factor and her talent was recognized recently as the Most Amazing Newcomer in the Yahoo OMG awards last month. The 17-year old Ritz is from Sta. Rita, Pampanga and was taking up Accountancy when showbiz beckoned.
Ritz was also named in the cast of the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Yesteday, Today and Tomorrow where she will pit her acting skills with Dennis Trillo, Heart Evangelista and Carla Abellana.
“I am so happy that Regal has placed their confidence in all of us. Rest assured, we will give our very best in all the projects that will be given to us,” Ritz said in behalf of the group.
All four can also be seen in the Saturday variety show Hey It’s Saberday starting at 11a.m.
