The Karate Kid Movie Review and Trailer

Last night, after my class and before heading to my work, I was invited by my blogger friend to watch the premiere of The Karate Kid at SM MegaMall. I accepted the invitation considering that it's been a long time since the last time I attended blog events.

Before watching the movie, as soon as I got the movie invite, I read the synopsis of the movie. Taking Jackie Chan aside, I thought the movie is a typical one. Nothing's special. It was just about a young man, Jaden Smith, trying to get even with his bully Chinese classmates. All the while, I thought it was just an ordinary movie. But after watching it, I proved myself wrong.

The movie is top-billed by Jaden Smith, son of the movie's producer Will Smith. Jackie Chan plays a maintenance man who will eventually be a Karate/Kung Fu teacher of Jaden. The story started when Dre, played by Jaden Smith, and her mom moved to China for good. Coping with the new environment, Dre tries to tour their new place. He was able to get a American friend but when he tried befriending a Chinese young lady, he got into trouble. For the succeeding scenes, catch it on cinemas!

I like how the little Smith portrayed his character! So him! It was like the role Dre is really him in real life. The movie is packed not just with action but of fun and laughters! You will surely love to watch it with your family and friends!

The Karate Kid will be shown on cinemas nationwide starting June 11. Special thanks to Columbia Pictures!
