Daniel Matsunaga, Megan Young video scandal resurface on Facebook

Looks like spammers are just recycling their catchy posts as the most recent Facebook spam involves Daniel Matsunaga and Miss World 2013 Megan Young in a video scandal.

This video was actually posted around the same month last year. The said video scandal used a photo which was taken from an old TV5 teleserye Misibis Bay where both Matsunaga and Young were part of.

The bathtub scandal of the two stars may have been used to attract users to click on the said spammy post. However, the video scandal doesn't exist at all and it's actually just a part of the scene in their previous teleserye. Those who'll click on it will only be redirected to a hoax site that pretends to be from ABS-CBN by just looking at its domain and used an effective YouTube-like layout page. The page distributes unwanted software (adware and/or malware) should the user decided to download the video. It will also ask users to share the same post on their Facebook walls.

Users are advised that there's no such scandal online and that they have to refrain from sharing these types of spam posts to avoid spreading malicious software. ATBP and its sister blog, BloggerEngineer.com, will continue to monitor similar threats to keep our readers well-informed.
